Biography

Mostafa Naghizadeh received B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from the University of Kerman, Iran, in 2000 and M.Sc. in Geophysics from the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2003. He received his Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Alberta in 2009. He worked as Post-Doctoral researcher with CREWES at the University of Calgary and Signal Analysis and Imaging Group (SAIG) at the University of Alberta from January 2010 till September 2012. In September 2017, after five years of industry experience as Processing Geophysicist in Shell Canada, he joined Laurentian University as Assistant Professor of Exploration Seismology. His interests include seismic data reconstruction, sampling theory, seismic imaging, computational geophysics, and hard rock geophysics. In 2011, Mostafa received the J. Clarence Karcher Award from SEG.
